|
Automatically download and update lists for SCRIBA NIST has released SCRIBA as an open source platform for product and other material data exchange. They have created a compiled executable available at the official NIST site:. http://www.nist.gov/itl/ssd/ei/scriba.cfm Or from this sourceforge site http://sourceforge.net/projects/ipc175xutils/ Papros Inc., as a free service to the user community is happy to offer free lists updates to support NIST's efforts and also the user community. As this is a free service, constructive user input is welcome. Send me email directly at and I will compile comments and FAQs. Once you download and install the list libraries, it will be your responsibility to check that all the substances, categories and materials subject to the regulations are addressed appropriately in your declarations. The following is the download link for free lists update for SCRIBA
Just the IPC 175x lists -- http://www.papros.com/scribalistsupdatedraft31-nn-1e.ZIP Include optional lists on conflict minerals--http://www.papros.com/scribalistsupdatedraft31-nn-opt-1000e.ZIP Download and install instructions: Read this entire page to the bottom to obtain complete set of instructions. SCRIBA is free and allows for multiple instructions even on the same computer. So if you have an installation with working lists you want to preserve, but like to try draft lists or additional lists, just create a new installation of SCRIBA and update the new or draft lists there. Studying the draft lists in this manner helps prepare better for discussions regarding finalizing lists, and increases educational outreach as to what potentially are future substances/categories/material groups of possible regulatory or other concern. Exit all instances of SCRIBA, then download the zip file and extract the contents to the directory where the Scriba1750a_beta06 Executable Jar file resides in. Then, find the file lupdate1 and double click it. It will automatically install the new lists. You can launch SCRIBA normally after that. If you downloaded the optional lists, and want to go back to run without anything but the basic lists download the following zip file in addition and extract the deloptional.bat file to the same directory as the scriba executable jar file, and double click-this will ensure you are loading only the basic IPC 175x draft list 3. http://www.papros.com/deloption.ZIP This update reflects only draft changes (draft version 3) currently being discussed for susbtance categories. REACH SVHC lists and JIG 3.1 lists have been updates. The new RoHS exemptions lists have been updated using the EU English version. Conflict minerals, including Niobium based ones, can be added as an option to Class C, and a Conflict minerals query can be also added as an option in Class A. This is by using the optional lists and not running the deloptional batch files which deletes the optional lists. See comments and feedback for this page NEXT News and links for Industries |
